How it works
In diode laser hair removal treatment, a skin specialist presses a hand-held laser instrument to your skin. The light energy from the laser torch enters the hair follicles through the skin. While laser hair removal doesn't get rid of hair forever (only electrolysis is approved for permanent hair removal), it does drastically reduce hair growth—to the point that you can stop shaving altogether. What to expect during the treatment?

WHY DO I NEED MULTIPLE TREATMENTS TO ACHIEVE HAIR REMOVAL?
As with all laser hair removal methods, DiolazeXL requires a series of treatments. Laser hair removal works best when hair follicles are in their mature stage; however, at any given time your hair is in various stages of growth.
HOW MANY SESSIONS ARE REQUIRED?
Hair is reduced with each treatment and results are observed after four to six sessions. The number of sessions will differ depending on your hair color, hair type, body area, and skin tone.
WHAT AREAS OF THE BODY CAN BE TREATED?
DiolazeXL can be safely used on most areas of the body that have unwanted hair. Most commonly treated areas include: bikini, legs, arms, chest, back, shoulders, stomach, neck, chin and sideburns.
After the treatment
Pre-TreatmentAvoid tanning of any type 3-4 weeks prior to treatment or use at least 30 SPF sunblock. Avoid irritant topical agents 2-3 days prior to treatment. Shave area to be treated 1 day before your appointment. Do not wax or use chemical depilator.
Post-TreatmentFor at least the rest of the day, avoid physical activity that may cause excessive sweating and rubbing of the treated area. Do not use heavily scented creams and lotions on the area. Continue using 30 SPF sunblock for at least 3 weeks post and 3 weeks prior to next treatment.
